nobody puts baby in the corner…

Is it just me or does this wedding remind you of dirty dancing? I never thought I’d be like “I’d like a dirty dancing themed wedding” but, I guess on some level I do?… After all, it was my grandmother’s favorite movie. (family joke alert)

Is it the land? the “dance hall”? the fading-country-club-esque feelings? Who knows, but I heart it. And here’s why:
Flowered vintage wedding dress. Handkerchief invites, mismatched bright bridesmaid dresses, lights in the barn = dance hall, I just want to say it again DANCE HALL!…

… Continuing, pretty pretty buttons escort cards! (note: really love this idea, because if you have a cocktail hour etc. people can mingle and meet their table without that awkward “table 4?” or having to loiter by the table to figure out who you’ll be spending the evening with.) The chalk board menu is awesome—It’s greener and a huge cost saver. And last, the flower petal filled bags (for tossing at the bride and groom as they exit*), that double as wedding programs. Again green and thrifty!

*toss the flower petals, not the bags, people.

I don’t know what you’re talking about; I think a shower of paper bags would make a much better photo-op.

    I almost said ‘you’ll poke your eye out’… Then I felt old… Then I missed the holidays…
