bed time.

Sorry the blog has been a bit of a fail this week. I am beat. So it’s not surprise that the design that caught my eye today is bedding.

AG-UO

The designs were co-opted from designer Alexander Girard (head of Herman Miller‘s Textile Division 1952 to 1975) for Urban Outfitters. I love how different the two sides can make a room feel. It’s perfect for all those Martha Stewart Moms saddled with angsty teenage daughters. Or for someone like me, who will occasionally over saturate a room with color, and just want out for a day, or a weekend. Commitment phobics rejoice—reversables will save you.

Since we’re on the topic of Alexander Girard, and I’ve been drowning in baby design all week at work I thought I’d add a little throwback to ’07 when I saw these blocks for House Industries on Priya’s blog (otherwise known as Love Made Visible.) What a perfect baby gift.
